I’m old, but my kids and their friends are not. At sport events and such I overhear people saying it is cheaper to take their families to a sit down restaurant than a fast food place. Burn this demographic and they won’t be back. The big fast coporations have got to be seeing this in their bottom line.

Im guessing they'll double again .. but in much less than 10 years. Imold enough to remember when the Big Mac came out .. at 49 cents. And before then, when McD said you could eat for under a dollar-'- burger, fries and a drink.

When I was in High School seniors could go out for lunch. You get get a cheeseburger, fries and a milkshake for a $1. I now go to McDonald's two or three times a year. I have to admit their fries are yummy if they are right out of the fryer.

#6 Always ask for fries right out of the fryer. I used to go to the Burger King near me. The manager changed and I had a bad experience with the current manager. I don't need to go back. Chic-fil-A just opened near here.

We used to stop a McDs for meals on our many cross country trips. I'd get a salad, small burger, and their yogurt parfait with fruit. For the Dempanic they shut down their dining rooms. After they opened up, they had eliminated their salads and the parfait. Haven't been in one since, don't plan to ever go back.

Yes, inflation has caused food prices to skyrocket but I believe McDonald’s are still gouging people especially for their breakfast items. Their breakfast sandwiches cost about the same as a Big Mac now. Hashbrowns went from $1 to $3.25. Breakfast has always been their biggest profit but these prices are going to hurt them in the long run.

Almost six in ten doctors in the US received more than $12 billion in payments from pharma firms in the past decade, an analysis has revealed. A study by researchers at Yale University found that 57 percent of doctors earned the huge sums from manufacturers in relation to medical drugs or devices between 2013 and 2022. Most of the money was for consulting services or fees for things such as serving as a speaker at a venue, but the physicians also received large amounts of money for food and beverages and gifts. Orthopedic surgeons were found to receive the largest total sum of payments, at $1.36bn.

The majority of gender-confused children grow out of that feeling by the time they are fully grown adults, according to a long-term study. Researchers in the Netherlands tracked more than 2,700 children from age 11 to their mid-twenties, asking them every three years of feelings about their gender. Results showed at the start of the research, around one-in-10 children (11 percent) expressed 'gender non-contentedness' to varying degrees. But by age 25, just one-in-25 (4 percent) said they 'often' or 'sometimes' were discontent with their gender.

The Israeli government has now passed a new law that would allow the closure of the Qatar-owned news broadcaster. It is thought Netanyahu's decision to block the channel could affect relations with Qatar, which is playing a crucial role in trying to stop the war in Gaza. The broadcaster responded strongly to Netanyahu's claims, calling them a "dangerous, ludicrous lie", and saying he would be held accountable for the safety of its staff and offices.

Washington, D.C., Cardinal Wilton Gregory slammed President Joe Biden on Sunday for being a “cafeteria Catholic,’’ picking and choosing what doctrines he wants to believe in; he cited the president’s support for “abortion rights” and transgender “visibility” as examples. Biden, only the second Catholic president, following John F. Kennedy, has actively campaigned for expanded abortion rights, gay marriage, and “gender-affirming care,” all of which his Church opposes. Cardinal Gregory suggested on Face the Nation on Sunday that Biden is selectively picking and choosing which parts of Catholicism he will embrace based on the Democrat platform.

Some of this is due to the app’s growth rate, but it’s also a strategy. It’s not just that TikTok is growing quickly, but today half of TikTok users say they get their news through it. That’s up from 1 in 5 in 2020. TikTok isn’t just growing, it’s growing its political influence.
