Columbia University administrators seemed poised to take a brave stand against ongoing student protests Monday — and then totally wimped out, cowering in the face of student activists.
This morning, school president Minouche Shafik steadfastly announced on the school’s website that Columbia would not divest its endowment from Israel.
“The university will not divest from Israel,” Shafik courageously declared, while also acknowledging that negotiations to clear student protesters — who have been camped out on campus since April 17 — had been unsuccessful.
Ball in her court, Shafik laid down a new 2 p.m. deadline for the “liberated zone” to empty and the camp to be dismantled.

Just over half of Americans say that they support the mass deportation of illegal immigrants, a recent poll found as the issue takes center stage in the race for the presidency.
A slim majority of Americans, 51 percent, said that they support the mass deportation of illegal immigrants, a policy that former President Donald Trump has promised if he is reelected to the presidency in November. Support for mass deportations varied widely by partisan affiliation, with 68 percent of Republicans, 46 percent of Independents, and 42 percent of Democrats in support of the measure.

Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Monday on MSNBC’s “Katy Tur Reports” that if the Democrats win majorities in Congress and the White House, they will ditch the filibuster to legalize abortion nationwide.
Pelosi said, “People have to view abortion as a democracy issue. This is about freedom to make your own decisions for a woman. It’s a personal decision, it’s an economic decision at the kitchen table of America’s families, if and when they could expand their families or even start their families.” Tur asked, “Do you think it’s going to be a more powerful issue at the ballot box this time around?”

Another whistleblower has come forward about the fear at a Massachusetts school after a woke superintendent let a troubled trans kid return to class after naming dozens of fellow students on a menacing 'kill list.'
The mother of a child at Watertown Middle School, in the west Boston suburbs, said Supt. Deanne Galdston put trans rights over classroom safety and should be forced from her job.
'I am horrified by the actions not taken by school administrators, who allowed this student to enter back into school days' after naming 45 students and teachers on a kill list, said the worried mom.

Top White House aides launched a failed plan last fall to boot press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre from her position because of poor job performance, sources told New York Post’s Steven Nelson last week.
The plan, reportedly hatched by White House communications chief Anita Dunn in the fall, apparently failed to materialize because Jean-Pierre refused to leave her position, turning down big job opportunities that President Joe Biden’s aides created for her.“There was an effort to have some outside folks who Karine knows and trusts talk to her about why leaving last fall would have made a lot of sense for her and her career,” one source told the Post,

A hotel in a trendy area of New York City is the latest location being used to stuff full of Gotham’s new arrivals, having been converted into an emergency housing shelter for migrants.
According to the New York Post, Mayor Eric Adams’ administration doled out a $12.3 million emergency contract to a nonprofit provider for running a “city sanctuary facility for families with children” located at 235 Meeker Avenue in the Williamsburg area, a popular Brooklyn location for dining and nightlife.
The address is the same one for the Hotel Le Jolie which was converted into a temporary shelter for illegal aliens sometime last year. (X Photos)

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that Ukraine and the U.S. government are “working on a bilateral security agreement” that would force Washington to provide Ukraine with military, economic, and political support for the next decade. In a statement issued on Sunday, Zelensky said that he and President Joe Biden are in talks to secure a deal that would give Ukraine U.S. taxpayer funds for the next ten years as its long-winded war with Russia continues.
He claimed the money is needed to equip Ukraine with the “efficiency in assistance” it needs to tackle the recent war advances by Russian forces.

Albert Einstein allegedly said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
But without validation, he was just a super-smart guy making an educated guess about scientific repeatability and human mental stability. Fortunately, his postulation is moving from “theoretical” to “proven,” via testing provided by the Democrat party.
The Dems came up with a surefire battle plan to prevent Donald Trump from returning to the Oval Office. Just prosecute him for something — it didn’t matter what. The Donald would become “damaged goods,” and voter outrage would prevent a return of mean tweets to the office that comes with an armed entourage and

The artworks in Littleton, New Hampshire, were installed last year and show colorful trees, stars and flowers, one of which appears to be a dandelion.
A local nonprofit that had them installed said they had been meant to 'beautify blighted properties' and promote a more welcoming environment.

Several hundred pro-Hamas students, angered by an attempted arrest of a protester by police, rioted at George Washington University overnight, located a few blocks west of the White House in Washington, D.C. The students tore down barricades that had blocked off an earlier attempted ‘occupy’ protest on campus grounds at University Yard (U-Yard). The students retook U-Yard, erecting tents and planting Palestinian flags on the pile of barricades. A Palestinian flag and keffiyeh draped on a statue of our nation’s first President George Washington at the start of the protest several days ago were still desecrating America’s founding father.

Protesters at an anti-Israel “encampment” in Harvard Yard removed an American flag from University Hall, the central administration building, and flew a Palestinian flag in its place Saturday before university staff intervened. (X Video) The Harvard Crimson reported: Pro-Palestine student protesters at the Harvard Yard encampment flew three Palestinian flags from University Hall on Saturday evening.
A group of three protesters hoisted the flags over the John Harvard statue in the Yard, where the University sometimes flies the American flag or flags of the countries of visiting foreign dignitaries.
