President Biden touted his new plans to eliminate student loan debt for as many as 30 million borrowers and vowed to 'never stop delivering relief' on Monday as Republicans accuse him of trying to 'buy votes' ahead of the 2024 election.
The president traveled to Madison, Wisconsin to deliver remarks on his latest effort to cancel debt through a series of new proposals.
'This relief can be life changing,' President Biden said. 'Folks, I will never stop to deliver student debt relief for hardworking Americans.'

People willingly took out loans, signed on the dotted line. College loan debt is not some disease you get through no fault of your own. All that took out the loans are legally responsible to pay it all back.

If tax payers are paying for these freeloaders, why doesn’t Bidet also tell the same taxpayers to pay our mortgage?

If he were 'cancelling' those debts...nobody would owe them anymore! As is, he is actually 'shifting' them, onto the backs of the already struggling taxpayers

Joe understands why those of us who did it right and paid our own way are upset.
Did you know his son Beau died while trying to repay his school loans?
Joe feels your pain.

Do those “students” have any idea that they will be paying back that forgiven loan for the next few decades via their taxes?

Universities are not what they used to be. Who wants to pay for, let alone take out a loan for, attending a social-justice factory for four years? A diploma is nothing more than an attendance certificate.
Exhibit A: that mindless Cortez twit who has a degree in economics (i.e. attendance certificate) from Boston University and now runs her mouth in the House of Representatives.

If the Supreme Court said he couldn't do this and he is doing it anyway, why isn't he being impeached?

Those were complete, coherent sentences. Therefore, they didn't come from the mind or mouth of Joe Biden.

That miserable, lying, corrupt husk of a man residing in the WH hasn’t lived in Scranton since he was a child but he certainly invokes the “lunch bucket Joe from hardscrabble Scranton” at every opportunity. He’s beyond disgusting. I’d love for him to explain why those of us over 65 should be paying off the student loans of the grifting crowd. They signed for a loan - repay it. It’s called a debt! And it’s yours, not OURS.

Just WHERE in this "fruited plain" does he get dictatorial authority to do this?
It's nothing short of BRIBERY to buy votes from many who ran the debts up on contracts THEY took our and are legally bound by LAW to pay......
I know people who have had well over $100,000 of student debt who have made NO ATTEMPT to pay them off and others who have had the same amount of debt actually take many years to pay of the debts they incurred.
Why is it MY duty to pay off these DEADBEATS who make no attempt for a decade to make a dent in their obligations?

Why isn't blatant activity to disobey a Supreme Court ruling an impeachable offense, and why isn't the Supreme Court raising the roof over it.

This used to make me mad. Now I can see that this is going to backfire on Biden.
The number of taxpayers who have put their kids through college and/or paid off their own loans greatly exceeds the number of students who will have the loans erased. A lot more independents are going to vote for Trump this time around.

Agree with #20. I put four through college....borrowed on the house a couple of times to pay for it. Don't I get a refund after all these years. Only seems fair...
