The Uniparty is quietly scheming (again) to rig the system and prevent President Trump from ever becoming President. This scheme involves a two-part strategy: using a combination of strategically planned retirements of Republican House members, coupled with the passage of carefully tailored legislation to remove President Trump from the ballot on bogus Insurrection grounds that would likely pass muster with moderate justices on the Supreme Court, like John Roberts and Amy Coney Barrett, who prefer to avoid deciding on “controversial” legal questions and risk being seen in a bad light by their liberal peers.
The fact that over a dozen House Republicans have recently announced their early retirement,

Long story short: deep state working towards fulfilling dream of martial law thereby removing the last vestiges of a representative republic.
The ugliness is only just beginning...

The scenario as outlined by Mr Ingrassia would most certainly be the straw that broke the camel's back... "War Between the States II, would be difficult to stop!

This effort is performing the role that "Russia gate" did in Trump's first presidency, to off foot him and make every effort a struggle. And this time, it's not Hillary, it's faithless Republicans. It could create some head winds. However, all these loser retirees can be replaced in the election with real Republicans, that once sworn in can support Trump's agenda. With a refocused RNC, many more Republicans can be elected. We will have to see. The critical thing is to PURGE the snakes in the grass NOW, to get state efforts all focused.

Oh please they were not with Trump last time & he survived. He brought the fake republicans to the surface. They allowed the 54 million $$ Mueller mess to continue w/o reason, they allowed 2 impeachments, they allowed the Russia hoax to go on for years, name the republicans who stood with Trump during his election so called loss...Trumps most important selection will be AG..after all Barr & Comey were complete disasters ...

#4, The idea is for President Trump not to have to struggle. If you think it was bad last time, they will try anything to interfere should he be elected. At this point with their backs against the wall, there is nothing democrats will not do because they have already passed the point of no return. Look what they have already accomplished without the support of the American people.
The most dangerous time for the country will be between this November and Inauguration Day in January. For democrats to retain power they will have to subdue their opposition with all those weapons Joe Biden keeps telling us about and they will have no reason to hold back. But for the anti-Trump Rinos, we would be in a much better position. They have betrayed the country in the most vile manner. Not content to be just self-righteous fools, they will eagerly sell us out to the deep state, the enforcement arm of the DNC.

So let's say the Dems gain a slim majority in the House. And let's say 223 Democrats unanimously vote that Trump led an insurrection, and 222 Republicans unanimously vote that he did not. If the Supreme Court were to use that as a basis for declaring Trump ineligible be President, a real insurrection would take place -- and the Dems would discover it's a lot less pretty than a few hundred unarmed clowns taking selfies in the US Capitol for a few hours.

The author is correct, but not about the methodology. If the Republicans lose their house majority now, and the Dems take over the house, that says up a scenario that is very plausible. If RFK continues to pick up steam, and pulls enough votes from Biden, and if neither Biden nor Trump receive 270 electoral votes, the House votes on which of the 3 candidates will be president. Now, who do you think a Dem controlled horse will vote for? This IS the reason that representatives are leaving now and, as you'll note work done, leaving at a point where a replacement cannot be appointed by must wait until the electron for their seat to be filled. As Dan Bongino has pointed out more than once - they're are a lot of Republicans who are really democrats (and they're showing you who they are right now!), but there are no Republicans who are really Democrats!

Memo to Paul: Just because you didn't explain Trump's strategy to your readers is no reason to think he doesn't have one; or that he cannot be in the very process of acting on such strategy. Maybe you just damn him with faint praise. I'd worry about it if you were his right-hand-man.

Dan Bongino was talking about this the other day, a couple more Republican leave, then the democrats will control the house, Hakeem Jeffries becomes speaker.
If Trump does not get 270 electoral votes which is required to win then the democrat controlled House of Representatives would choose the president.
Biden does not have to win to win, they don't have to cheat their butts off, they only need to make sure Trump does not get more than 269. They just cheat enough to make sure someone like RFK jr siphons off enough of the votes to make that happen.

Been saying this since Trump lost in 2020. He needs a new strategy. Not sure I have seen one. The Trump haters got his number last time. They neutralized him and eventually forced him out. How do I know they won't basically do the same thing again?
I will be voting for Trump in November. Why? I don't like what is being done to him and his supporters. I also don't see any better choices either.

From the beginning of the article: "The Uniparty is quietly scheming (again) to rig the system and prevent President Trump from ever becoming President." I find this opening sentence an awkward form of chum designed to elicit virtue signaling. News to GWP/Ingrassia: Trump served a full term as our 45th president, from January 2017 to January 2021, and did an effective job in furthering his policy objectives without a rash of unintended consequences, so Trump cannot be prevented from "ever becoming president." Perhaps some of the announced retirements were driven by the antics of Gaetz and Greene, not exactly "Never Trumpers." Of course, there is the obligatory dig at Republicans, notwithstanding the fact that Trump is at the top of this year's Republican ticket. Could it be that some of his most vocal supporters in Congress are the very people jeopardizing control of the House?
Also FTA: "At least up until the November election, there will be no divided government: Democrats will have majorities in both congressional chambers, plus the White House. Thus, the House, Senate, and White House can collude to pass legislation that would exclude President Trump from the ballot because, according to their absurd construction, Section 3 and Section 5 of the Fourteenth Amendment allows them to do so." The Constitution (Article 1, Sec.9, Clause 3) specifically prohibits legislatures from imposing ex post facto laws, which retroactively criminalize behavior.

The GOP is being exposed for what it has been for a very long time. We conservatives were deceived into believing we had any power with nothing but RINO incumbents in all power positions. Keeping promise-breaking, greedy career politicians in cuz they were nice guys have done much to bring us here. GOOD men cannot be blackmailed or bribed successfully. It takes cooperation from both parties.

Long article that lays out problems and solutions. As for me. I'm voting Trump, even if I have to write his name in. And if the Never-Trumpers want to see some angry Americans, just deny us the vote for our candidate of choice!!
