The City of Burnsville has identified the two officers and fire medic who were shot and killed Sunday morning as Officer Paul Elmstrand, 27, Officer Matthew Ruge, 27, and firefighter/paramedic Adam Finseth, 40. The city said police were called to the 12600 block of 33rd Avenue South at 1:50 a.m. Sunday on a report of a domestic situation where a man reported to be armed was barricaded with family members. After police arrived, the situation “escalated into gunfire with responders.”

Too many police and first responders are killed answering domestic violence calls. Maybe the blue cities that want to defund the police and send social workers into these situations have the right idea, though for the wrong reasons.

Get ready for the communists to climb on top of the bodies and start screaming for gun control again. There is a script to these little performances.

They should have sent in the social workers. Preferably those working to settle "migrants" into Minnesota.

Doesn't anybody know how to use cover any more? You keep your distance from crazies after surrounding them, keep your head down and use the phone. You can't rush a full home fast enough to prevent deaths. The shooter could be an illegal immigrant but more likely somebody named DeShawn or Darius who was getting a little help from Old Grand Dad. The police officers in this state should get out while they still can. Their government does not want or support them. Let the animals have the streets. Perhaps then the voters will wise up.

Maybe it's time for cops to ignore calls for domestic disturbance, let the family deal with it.

Hit the post button too soon. I meant to add that if you want to see who the alleged shooter was, Benny Johnson's TwitterX page has a photo of Shannon Cortez Gooden, the man who MSM refuses to identify.

A quality conservative news site IDs the alleged shooter as a man with a felony against conviction. If true, he was barred from gun possession, but I'm sure more laws would help /s. The prolonged silence of officials and media is due, most likely, to the fact that the alleged shooter doesn't fit the angry white male narrative.

An annual “art sled rally” in Minneapolis’ Powderhorn Park Saturday featured a replica of a burning Third Precinct police station, which was destroyed by rioters during the 2020 George Floyd riots. Video shows a crowd of residents, including children, cheering as the sled makes its way down the side of a hill. Inside was a driver dressed as a pig. The display was praised by a teacher at Patrick Henry High School. Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said he was “outraged” and “frustrated” by the “disgusting display,” according to an internal email obtained by Crime Watch Minneapolis.

However, as councilors meet, there seems to be a divide between some of them and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey.

Are you still considering it, or what do you rule it out?” Cheney said, “I haven’t made any decisions about it yet. I’m going to do whatever is necessary to defeat Donald Trump.” Tapper said, “But if it came down to you, not running, and it’s Biden versus Trump, you would you would support Biden?”

He told Newsweek that 77-year-old Trump's cognitive deterioration is more obvious, but Biden's 'cognitive failure' could result in him refusing to relinquish control if needed during his second term.

In laying the foundation for his sweeping decision against former President Donald Trump, Judge Arthur Engoron observed that “this is a venial sin, not a mortal sin.” Yet, at $355 million, one would think that Engoron had found Trump to be the source of Original Sin. The judgment against Trump (and his family and associates) was met with a level of unrestrained celebration by many in New York that bordered on the indecent. Attorney General Letitia James declared not only that Trump would be barred from doing business in New York for three years, but that the damages would come to roughly $460 million once interest was included.

Many gasped recently when Donald Trump said he’d encourage Russia “to do whatever the hell they want” with NATO allies who don’t pay their share of the transatlantic alliance’s defense spending. It was a brazen but hardly surprising turn from someone who has shown a long and loyal affection for Russian President Vladimir Putin, a wanted war criminal. Trump has called Putin — a former KGB agent who jails and murders critics — smart, savvy, and his friend. Trump sided with Putin after a U.S. intelligence community assessment found Russia meddled in the 2016 election. More troubling, in 2017 Trump shared highly classified intelligence with the Russian ambassador.

I'm writing about the undeniable possibility that Michelle uses her husband's notoriety to launch her own political career. Rumors that Mrs. Obama might run for president have plagued the Washington political scene for years. But she has always denied that she wants the job. 'I've never expressed any interest in politics.
