A committed supporter of Donald Trump's was surprised when told by a CNN correspondent that God is not mentioned in the US Constitution.
In a promotional clip ahead of the network's release of 'MissinfoNation: The Trump Faithful,' correspondent Donie O'Sullivan interviews a member of MAGA nation who is unimpressed by the job mainstream reporters have been doing.
The woman, who's first name is Julie and is pictured sporting a hot pink 'Trump Save America' hat, opens the clip by saying to O'Sullivan: 'The job of the journalist is to ask the questions, allow the person to speak and just report the facts. What was spoken.

Of course, the CNN ignoramus is wrong. The very last paragraph of the Constitution contains the phrase "in the year of our Lord," which of course is a direct reference to Jesus Christ. God most certainly is mentioned in the Constitution, but then you wouldn't expect some pinheaded dipstick working for the worst quasi-pseudo-lame excuse for a news org on the planet to understand that.

Beg to differ.
Every Signatory of the Constitution of the United States acted in unanimous consent "the seventeenth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty seven..."
This is recorded on that document.
Did you get that? Did you notice the word "Lord" is capitalized? Why might that be? To Whom may it refer? There is absolutely no doubt that every man who signed that document was in agreement that this is the LORD Jesus Christ.
I maintain those who signed this document did so in the acknowledgment of the authority of Jesus Christ.
Guess what is NOT in the Constitution? THE SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.
The First Ammendment in the Bill of Rights states, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.."
This was a prohibition placed on the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, not the states.
Multiple states at the time on the time had specific statements acknowledging the authority of Jesus Christ in their individual constitutions.
If "Congress shall make no law" as described above, where does the FEDERAL Supreme Court get the authority to ban prayer and Bible reading in public schools? This authority was and is in the power of the states to decide.
Maybe the esteemed producers of the anti-Trump project of "MisinfoNation" need to do some more thinking.

The Declaration of Independence is the precursor document to the Constitution.
The Declaration very specifically announces "..... that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,"
And it goes on to say that 'that to secure these rights, governments are instituted among me."
That these right written into the Constitution are God given, is in the precursor, supporting document. Of course, uneducated, misinformed fopls like leftist "journalists " wouldn't be educated enough to grasp this.
I got out my pocket copy of The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution to verify this text.

The mention of the word, "Lord" is mentioned in the signatory acknowledgement of the Constitution, and assigns to Him obedient reverence that every signatory thereby accepted.
Besides that, the Constitution codifes the rights specified in the Declaration of Independence, which attributes all of those rights to an endowment "by their Creator", an explicit reference to God. Without the Judeo/Christian God, and the rights deriving from Him, the Constitution has no foundation.
Finally, the Constition likewise does not mention the words, abortion, transgender, Barack Obama, nor apple pie...and yet we've somehow managed to tolerate all them.

The word "God" soes not appear in the Bill of Rights or the Constitution. It is found in the Declaration of Independence - a Founding Document - and strongly implied in the Bill of Rights which was based on the Natural Rights statement in the Declaration.
Also, almost Every President since, till the last 20 years when the Democrats started mocking God, has mentioned God with reverence, asked God for Guidance and Praised God for his mercy in the face of repeated trespasses of man on his fellow man. God is integral to the Republic of the United States of America!

God and our God given rights are the foundation of our Gov't, upon which all the other provisions rest.
we know and understand this, first and foremost, because the colonists were being ruled without
consent, persecuted and ruthlessly taxed by a tyrannical crazed monarch.
sound familiar?
the Constitution and Founding Documents were created for times like these, because the
Founding Fathers knew gov't tyranny was always just a breath away.
they left us this sword and shield as our inheritance.
those who do not understand the centrality of God in colonial life, and in our country, our lives and laws,
is not an American.

True, the word "God" is not mentioned in our constitution. However, He is alluded to indirectly.
"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
18th century European governments were mostly monarchies. None were structured to provide or protect benefits of any kind for the citizens of their countries. In contrast, our Founders wanted more. The men and women who founded this nation were biblically literate and familiar with Mosaic laws designed to establish just that in ancient Israel. They were also familiar with the New Testament scriptures and writings of the Apostle Paul. Unity, Justice, domestic Tranquility, common Defence and promoting the General Welfare are all Biblical concepts the Constitution is set up to protect.
Furtherrmore, "Securing the Blessings of Liberty" is a direct reference to God. Everyone knows (or should know) that blessings can only come from one place - the will / providence of God. (James 1:17) So does true Liberty / Freedom. Genesis 2:16; Exodus 6:6; Galatians 5:1; 1 Peter 2:16 are just a few of the many Scriptures indicating God desires His people to live free and in peace under His loving and watchful eye.
Our rights do come from God in spite of the CNN hosts' unspoken implication they do not. Our written Constitution secures the blessings of liberty spelled out in the First-Tenth Amendments (Bill of Rights). Thank God for the men who refused to sign or fought ratification until it was added!
